BAM International is looking for Senior Project Engineers with substantial relevant experience in international marine and / or heavy civil projects.
Your responsibilities:
As Senior Project Engineer you are responsible for providing technical engineering advice to our projects. Our marine projects are jetties, quay walls and ports which are executed with specific equipment and work methods. Our heavy civil projects are large concrete works, precast yards and infrastructure.
You are the link between the engineering and construction teams. Your main tasks and responsibilities are:
Managing a team of Engineers
Keeping the project team informed on all relevant aspects of technical & engineering issues that arise on the project
Supporting and advising the Project Manager in all engineering aspects, as required
Manage the preparing of Method Statements and the and Project Schedule and maintain those during the course of the project
Initiating the procurement process & reporting changes to the project
Ensuring that work packages (method statements, complete subcontracts) are timely prepared, reviewed and discussed with the Project Manager, Construction Manager and Commercial Manager.
Chair regular internal meetings
As Senior Project Engineer you have the following qualifications:
Minimum 10 years international experience in marine construction as Project Engineer for a main contractor
Degree in civil engineering (higher vocational education at B.Sc. level)
Result oriented and proactive in resolving problems
Flexibility to adapt to diverse site circumstances, eager to work on projects around the globe
Fluent in English (spoken and written)
